Volunteering isn’t all work. It's is a great way to meet new people, make new friends and learn about art.

If you are interested in volunteering at this museum, please fill out the Volunteer Application Form and we will be in touch soon.

Volunteers can help the Museum in several different ways, the most popular of which is our docent program.

Docent Program

Museum docents attend an 8-month training course and typically volunteer 100 hours to the museum annually.

Docents that have been trained by the Museum of Art offer tours:
  • daily tours of the museum at 2PM
  • walking tours of public art in downtown Santa Fe on Mondays at 10:00am, April-November (weather permitting); Fridays, 10 a.m. June-August
  • tours of the museum to groups who schedule special tours
